Louise Moxon launched Cocoon Carers and Companions in December 2021. We have partnered with Poseidon Care who supply all of their wonderful Nepalese carers.
Cocoons Carers are not the run of the mill carers but highly trained and skilled Nepalese nurses, each with over 4 years specialist training. There are a limited number of Government approved licenses for these wonderful ladies to work in the UK and they can only be hired through Cocoon UK.
If you would like to talk about the next steps, meetings can be arranged so we can build a picture of carer requirements.
These meetings would involve Cocoon and the Care Manager who would recommend specific carers who have the ideal skill set required for the specific client’s needs.
This matching would include both clinical experience and from a hobbies and lifestyle perspective.
A typical Nepalese nurse will have done a 4 year nursing degree, plus 2 years working in ER/ acute care environments enabling them to professionally handle emergency situations.
The Nepalese traditionally live in a multi-generational society growing up with an inbuilt duty of care to family members -therefore showing themselves to be proactive but with a level of discretion within their carer role.
Any carer introduced to the client will undergo a bedding in period of 2 weeks at the start of the contract to make sure they are compatible. Exact rates and contract are subject to initial engagement and requirements from the client/ family, the care manager meeting/ plan and the review but the below will give you an idea on our costings.
